Dr. Hanna Haskett
Dr. Haskett has over 25 years of experience in research and development of defense systems focusing on Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) applications. These capabilities enable data sharing at the tactical level by synchronizing geospatial information and standards across the Army allowing the development of enterprise-enabled systems for the Army and the Department of Defense (DoD). Information sharing capabilities enhance the situation awareness and the survivability of the warfighter in theaters of operations such as Afghanistan and Iraq and other hostile environments. She regularly interacted with NATO as the subject matter expert serving on numerous technical panels. Her current focus has extended to include Human Terrain Systems and cultural issues and influences. With her extensive experience in image and signal processing across spectral sensing technologies for large data applications, she led many large projects across Department of Defense agencies supporting the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), the Rapid Equipping Force (REF), and the Joint IED Defeat Office (JIEDDO).
During her 15-year tenure at Night Vision & Electronic Sensors Directorate (NVESD) as a Principal Scientist, Dr. Haskett gained hands-on experience in the development, implementation, test, and evaluation of wide area, space based, and high altitude advanced sensor technologies. Dr. Haskett developed significant experience with night vision (Electrical Optical and Infrared, EO/IR) and electronic sensors advanced technologies for remote sensing applications. Her extensive experience in image/signal processing, and sensor fusion techniques for time critical target detection resulted in patents and numerous published research papers.
Dr. Haskett has published over twenty technical papers published as a principle investigator and author, focusing on advanced sensor night vision technologies for wide area search, space-based, high altitude and ground-to-ground tactical applications extending to mine and minefield detection systems. She has made hundreds of oral presentations to subject matter experts across technical arenas, high-level government executives and military General Officers. In addition, she has successfully negotiated multiple Foreign Military Sale (FMS) cases with multiple foreign countries and is highly experienced in this arena.
Dr. Haskett holds a BSEE and MSEE from the University of Colorado in 1986 and 1988, respectively and a PhD from George Mason University 2000. She is a member of Tau Beta Pi and Eta Kappa Nu.
